Preparing Youth for Employment
This program was designed to assist youth in achieving academic and employment success by improving education and skill competencies through effective connections to employers. The In-School program strategy for getting young people into productive future work is designed to encourage teens and young adults to remain in school and develop the basic foundation skills required for entry into a job.
The Out-of-School program delivered services to youth who are not attending school due to certain barriers. These youth are provided objective assessment of their basic skills, career interests, job skills and any supportive services they may need to develop an effective career path plan.
The following outcomes were reported at the end of the year for this program:

Our strategy involved strengthening our relationship with Brevard Public School's Adult Education as it is a primary recruitment source for out-of-school youth. This allowed us to connect with and serve more out of school youth than in the past and resulted in reaching and exceeding our performance goals for the program year.
