| 07-08 Annual Report |
|
Since 2002, Brevard Workforce Development Board, Inc. (BWDB) and Brevard Workforce have
delivered programs and services to benefit an expanding local economy and workforce.
This year, that service delivery process began to shift as the economy started to contract due to the
housing decline and subsequent financial industry crisis. Unemployment was on the incline, local
communities were realizing budget shortfalls and once thriving businesses were reducing staff or
closing all together.
|
In this report we’ll share information about:
- Unemployment numbers up at Job Link locations across Brevard
- New (and unique) employment programs for the community
- Our role in Aerospace Workforce Transition
- Young Professionals: meeting their needs with an International Summit
- Job Link Express hits the streets
